Tekmar secures exclusive Jan De Nul framework for TenneT's 2GW German offshore wind projects, boosting growth with medium-term deliveries.
This article covers information on Tekmar Group PLC.
LON:TGPTekmar Group has signed an exclusive framework agreement with Jan De Nul to engineer, manufacture and supply its 10th Generation Cable Protection System for projects within TenneT’s 2GW offshore wind programme in Germany. The company has already received the first two project awards under this framework, with work starting immediately on the first and deliveries scheduled in FY2027 and FY2028.
No contract value or volumes were disclosed, but the wording signals a multi-project pathway with a top-tier contractor on one of Europe’s landmark grid programmes. For a business focused on offshore energy asset protection, that is a meaningful endorsement and a potential growth lane.
Tekmar’s 10th Generation Cable Protection System is part of its subsea protection technology suite, designed to safeguard offshore power cables as they are installed and throughout operations. In practical terms, these systems help de-risk projects, improve safety and reduce lifecycle costs – precisely the kind of kit grid operators and EPC contractors want when rolling out large-scale offshore infrastructure.
Jan De Nul’s Portfolio Director for Subsea Cables put it plainly: the choice reflects a combination of proven track record and continuous innovation. That pairing is important. Offshore grid rollouts are unforgiving on schedule and quality, and repeatability counts.
The agreement is exclusive with Jan De Nul for the TenneT 2GW Programme work in Germany and already includes two specific project awards.

This announcement reinforces that positioning. It is an integrated scope – engineering through to manufacturing and supply – on a high-profile offshore programme. If executed well, it should strengthen Tekmar’s case for further frameworks and larger share in subsea protection packages.
CEO Richard Turner highlighted both delivery capability and the multi-project pathway in Germany: “It demonstrates the confidence placed in Tekmar’s engineering expertise and delivery capability, while providing a clear pathway of multi-project opportunities in the growing German offshore wind market.”
From Jan De Nul, Harold Heeffer emphasised track record and innovation, and the benefit of securing reliable technology across multiple projects. That reads like a forward-looking intent to standardise on Tekmar’s CPS across parts of the programme.
This is a quality win for Tekmar in a critical European programme, with exclusivity adding heft and two awarded projects already in motion. The lack of financial detail means we cannot size the impact today, but the visibility into FY2027-FY2028 is helpful and the partner mix is strong.
Execution, schedule discipline and future call-offs will be the key drivers from here. On balance, a positive strategic step that deepens Tekmar’s role in offshore grid infrastructure – with the real financial pudding to be tasted as deliveries approach.
